Attending a festival in the UK can be a thrilling and unforgettable experience, but it's essential to be prepared and stay safe. Here's a full guide to surviving festivals in the UK:

  1. Plan ahead Before attending a festival, it's essential to plan ahead. Research the festival's schedule, camping options, and transportation to the festival site. Make sure you have all the necessary equipment, such as a tent, sleeping bag, and camping stove.

  2. Choose the right camping spot When you arrive at the festival site, choose a camping spot that's close to the entrance, but not too close to the stages or toilets. A spot near a landmark, such as a big tree or flag, can make it easier to find your way back to your tent.

  3. Stay hydrated Dehydration is a common problem at festivals, so make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. Bring a refillable water bottle and keep it with you at all times.

  4. Dress appropriately The weather in the UK can be unpredictable, so make sure you're prepared for all conditions. Bring warm clothing for the evenings and rain gear in case of a downpour. Comfortable footwear is also a must, so pick an a stunning pair of festival cowboy wellies, as you'll be on your feet for most of the day.

  5. Protect yourself from the sun Even if it's cloudy, the sun can still cause sunburn and heat exhaustion. Wear sunscreen with a high SPF and reapply it throughout the day. Wear a hat or a bandana to protect your head and face from the sun.

  6. Stay connected Make sure you have a fully charged mobile phone with you and keep it with you at all times. Charge your phone at designated charging points or bring a portable power bank. Agree on a meeting point with your friends in case you get separated.

  7. Be mindful of your belongings Unfortunately, theft can occur at festivals, so be mindful of your belongings. Keep valuables with you at all times, or lock them in your car or locker. Use a padlock to secure your tent when you're not there.

  8. Be aware of drug and alcohol use Drug and alcohol use can be prevalent at festivals, but it's essential to be aware of the risks. Be mindful of your own consumption and that of those around you. Don't accept drinks from strangers, and never leave your drink unattended.

  9. Look out for each other Festivals can be overwhelming, and it's easy to get lost or separated from your group. Look out for each other, and if someone needs help, don't hesitate to ask for it. Festival staff and security are there to help.

  10. Have fun! Finally, remember that festivals are about having fun and enjoying yourself. Take in the music, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories. Stay safe and have a great time!

Third pair!

This is my third pair of Talolo wellies. I got these to replace my first pair which lasted for many years. My original pair were slightly louder but as my short pair is leopard print, I thought I would try a slightly more understated look this time, being as it is good to have options! I sized up one size as usual and they are a perfect fit. This pair will go with everything and yet still stand out. They are absolutely great and I cannot wait to wear them.

OH YES!

So comfy, so chic, so stylish......so waterproof!! All you could need in a neat ankle high boot. As wearable in central London as on the country hillsides.
