It’s Halloween time and normally we go seriously large. Having a background in event organising, I couldn’t do Halloween without making an event of it. We create frightening signs, line the driveway with hideous masks, pelt scary haunted music all around the house and my children wander around as ghosts whilst I am fully dressed as the wicked witch from The Hermitage! As I write this, I am indulging in listening to Glasto on BBC iPlayer in the comfort of my home. The Wettest Village in the UK

It never seems to stop raining in England. A poor village in Pembrokeshire has endured 85 days of rain. The sun finally came out for a brief visit on 20 Janaury. However it seems to be raining again in Eglwyswrw, near Cardigan. The met office said that the village was five days short of beating the British record which is 89 days set in Scotland in 1923.
